Now this isn't me being negative, because the end result of what this guy is doing here does look impressive and some of the routes he takes etc are quite unique. But I can guarantee he died many many times doing these. The way the game is designed, is that it conditions you into it's mechanics via trial and error, this is why the game is so fast paced, and you are immediately trying again once you fail an attempt. It's to the point where over periods of time you become completely accustomed to the levels layouts tricks that it gets stored in you, and you almost find yourself subconsciously reacting to your surroundings.
I have seen speed runs of this game where the camera is literally not turned off between levels and entire zones are done without 1 death. For me that is truly impressive. Not sure why I'm posting the vid in this case, but I guess I'm just surprised at how easy it is to rope people in to thinking somethings better than it is. Imagine if you were playing this game, and you just recorded every successful attempt you had at a level, and made a montage of those, and posted in on YouTube. You'd probably get the same result lol.
