It would be "kind of" acceptable in abyssea if he had capped gear haste even without requiring the 1% extra haste brown belt offers. cos then in effect hes just gaining the DA on TP from twilight.. but this hardly ever happens. and the fact is hes TPing there in 20% haste which means thats obviously not the case, that is pretty bad.

Add it with the other stats on the headpiece and its the best thing you can get for smite outside a tailored moogle head.
Also, most "pimped" pieces are very minimal gains in this game in general. you only get to a decent point by inching up every single slot as best you can, that's how its always worked lol. smite doesn't usually average 3k either, you are talking around 4-5k with 6-7 spikes, so that's closer to 180 bonus damage (for a 6k average), of course we are talking in abyssea, but hey its all relative eitherway. and by comparison I doubt there's many single slots on a DRK WS set that in reality adds over 180 damage (without even taking into account the STR acc and attack that's also on this piece).
